2027 Norwalk Mariners Evaluations Announced for 10U–15U Teams

The Norwalk Mariners are excited to announce fall evaluations for our 2027 spring and summer teams, with opportunities for players at the 10U through 15U levels.

Beginning with the 2027 season, Mariners evaluations for these age groups will take place in the fall. Forming teams earlier will help strengthen team cohesiveness and provide players and coaches with a more coordinated preparation period leading into the spring and summer seasons.

Our 8U and 9U teams will continue to hold evaluations in the spring and will not participate in the fall evaluation process.

Evaluation Schedule

10U

• Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026

• Time: 2:00 p.m.

• Location: Anastasia Field

• Rain Date: Sunday, October 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Anastasia Field

• Eligibility: Players born May 1, 2016–April 30, 2017

• Registration: Register for the 2027 10U evaluation

11U

• Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026

• Time: 3:00–6:00 p.m.

• Location: Devine Field

• Eligibility: Players born May 1, 2015–April 30, 2016

• Registration: Register for the 2027 11U evaluation

12U

• Date: Sunday, October 18, 2026

• Time: 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

• Location: Devine Field

• Eligibility: Players born May 1, 2014–April 30, 2015

• Registration: Register for the 2027 12U evaluation

13U, 14U and 15U

• Date: Monday, September 28, 2026

• Time: 5:30 p.m.

• Location: Nathan Hale Field

• Registration: Register for the 2027 13U–15U evaluations

Our 13U, 14U and 15U teams are being developed in partnership with Batter’s Eye, with a focus on providing local players with quality coaching and player development.

Building the 2027 Program

Players selected for the Mariners will be encouraged to train and participate together throughout the winter and spring. Depending on the age group and team, players may have opportunities to work with local baseball facilities, professional coaches and program partners throughout the year.

Once teams are selected, we will build structured pre-winter, winter, spring and summer development plans to help each team prepare for the upcoming season.

We anticipate carrying approximately 12 to 13 players per team. Depending on participation and evaluation results, multiple teams may be formed at an age level when appropriate.

To support a fair and objective selection process, evaluations will be conducted with the assistance of independent evaluators and outside baseball staff.

All eligible players are encouraged to register and participate. Families can also help us spread the word to other players who may be interested in becoming part of the Norwalk Mariners program.
